15th Century Kwiyal Punchong (Hakeme in Japanese) Brushed Slip Pear Shaped Bottle with an inflated ovoid body narrowing to a neck with a wide, everted mouth. The neck has been repaired. Punchong ware has been particularly admired by the Japanese for hundreds of years for their sober, unaffected simplicity and rustic, free conception. Height: 11.25 inches (28.5cm), x 20.5 inches (52cm).
