Description:
This is a wonderful Longines pocket watch in excellent cosmetic and working condition. The hunter case is in 18K solid rose gold (weighs 41.5 grams without the movement) and has the markings for 18K Gold the letters P&D and the stamp from the essay's office and has the serial number 2352378 which puts its manufacturing date around 1910. The movement is signed Longines and sports the winged hourglass logo for Longines (this is the oldest registered logo for a watch company :-). The regulator is stamped with the numbers 10831. The case is 52.25 mm in diameter (a tad short of 2 1/8") and it is 14 mm thick (just about 9/16"). The outside has a beautiful scrolling motif and is engraved with the initials JS. The original white enamel dial has the sunken second hand and sports black roman numbers; it appears to be in excellent condition and is signed Longines. The dust cover also signed Longines reads "4 Grands Prix" and the name of the cities Paris - Paris - Milan - Bruxeles. The covers close very nicely and tight and stay closed. It has a couple of very, very hard to notice pin size dings. I am not a watch expert or collector by any means but this watch looks excellent. Great collectors piece, do not miss out!!
