Description: Exquisite pair of antique 18K gold and cow eye agate cufflinks. This type of agate is called cow eye. It was believed to ward off evil thoughts of others. They were believed to ward off the Evil Eye. Technically they are black and white ribbon agate, sometimes found decorating tazzas or centerpieces. This is a very rare pair in excellent original condition. They are more than 100 years old. Diameter 5/8 inch, length from the very top of the agate to the back of the locking device 1 5/8 inches.
