Description:
An antique (circa late 1800s, early 1900s) 14 karat gold and diamond solitaire engagement ring in a miner or European cut. This ring is from the estate of a family member and will come with a written provenance. The diamond is a full carat and is wonderfully brilliant, with a bit of yellow color to it. The ring is a size 6 and is marked 14K on the inside. One of the prongs needs to be re-tipped, but otherwise this is an elegant diamond solitaire from the turn of the 20th century. This ring has recently been appraised and evaluated by a master gemologist appraiser in accordance with Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice and comes with extensive papers. Some of the information is as follows: Diamond Attributes: Shape and Cut: Mine Cut. Weight is 1.05 cts. Clarity is VVS-2. Color is N to O. Finish is good. The diamond was hand cut back in the day before machines were used. Very elegant and brilliant.
