Description:
This beautiful antique oak draw leaf dining table was crafted in Holland around 1940 and recently imported to our antique furniture store here in Atlanta, GA, USA. The advantage of the draw leaf table design is obvious, with the ability to pull out or push in the leaves in order to accommodate extra seating. This particular draw leaf table extends from four feet to seven feet long, so you can use it for daily use or special occasions! The wood used in the making of this draw leaf table is a mixture of standard oak and quartersawn oak, which is a variety of oak that shows a particularly striking grain. Having developed a lovely patina over the past seventy years, the oak looks especially striking, and will continue to grow more beautiful as the decades pass. This draw leaf table will indeed last for decades, as it is quite sturdy, with a thick wood construction and turned baluster legs. There is some superficial wear, mainly in the form of old stress marks, and the stretcher has undergone some recent repairs, although you can hardly tell now. This wonderful antique draw leaf dining table is a wonderful combination of beauty, durability and classic antique versatility, so it would definitely make a great addition to any home furniture collection!
