Description:
This exquisite par of oak-framed leather armchairs was crafted in Holland around 1960 and recently imported to our furniture store here in Atlanta, GA. The design of these particular armchairs finds its roots near the close of the Renaissance when European furniture makers began to place cushions on oak benches. Today, many antique style armchairs retain this style because the oak frame is not only particularly striking but also lends an incredible sturdiness to the armchair that other designs may not offer. Also, the leather seats, backrests and arms all lift off of the oak frames for easy cleaning. The cushions themselves remain incredibly comfortable, while the frames and accentual cane sides and backs are quite sturdy. This lovely pair of antique style Dutch oak armchairs is in excellent condition and would make a fantastic addition to any home furniture collection!
