Description: Welcome! For sale, an antique New England woven ash splint storage basket, possibly Native American Woodlands Indian. It measures about 8 3/4 inches high (varies a little higher and lower) and about 10 1/2 inches square at the bottom, which also varies somewhat. This basket is quite old and has seen some use, so it does have age and use spots and signs of wear, with a couple of small breaks at the corners and two narrower strips of splint half of which are missing. But the basket itself is mainly intact and a great example of old New England basketry. Please email with any questions and thank you for taking a look.
