This new, lovely burl walnut trunk was recently crafted in England (as a reproduction of a Georgian period piece) by a team of master craftsmen. The high quality of this piece is apparent upon first sight, as the color and grain of the walnut are simply breathtaking. The burl grain is very swirly, and the color has a nice alternating contrast between a mellow gold and a deep, dark brown. Hand-distressed surfaces accent this natural beauty quite nicely, as do the contrasting solid brass handles on each side. The top of this trunk lifts and supports itself to reveal the spacious interior, with a little under eight cubic feet of room. This trunk can be used as a coffee table and/or for storage.
