Pair of antique original Alphonse Mucha silver vermeil bronze plaques. In the form of two art nouveau maidens, each with a prototypical Mucha hair dress and fields, each of the pair is signed by the foundry. We date them as early circa 1890 to 1900. In fine condition. Very rare, the last pair like these were sold by the Decorative Arts Sale at Sotheby's in New York over twenty years ago.
