Description: This is an extremely pleasant, great quality print of an original painting by the eminent and extremely talented Canadian artist Franz Johnston. The artist delightfully depicted a charming and peaceful picture of a couples encounter with a man and canoe ashore. With a high concern for an objects texture and form, Johnston elegantly formed a handsome wood canoe and masterfully portrayed a calm and cool body of water. Exhibiting great skill, Johnston remarkably draws the viewer to the distant shore by displaying a view of the couple’s backs, looking at and communicating with the man on shore. Johnston created a picture that is outstanding in regard to intelligent composition, exceptional color and remarkable texture.

This excellent picture is exquisitely completed with an exceptional, complimentary, valuable, high quality frame and a superb double matt that flatters the cool colors of the picture. Measuring a total of 24 ˝” x 20 ˝”, the unique framing, which greatly enhances the painting, was individually created by Le Chateau’s renowned master framer, Jeanette Shoenrock. The pictures bears Johnston’s signature, visible in the lower left corner. Here is a wonderful opportunity to own a striking print of an original painting by an extremely well-known and celebrated artist at a remarkable price.
