Description: This is a very nice late Georgian oil on canvas portrait of a gentleman. He has brown hair with a fair completion and rosy cheeks with blue eyes. He has on a royal blue velvet jacket with a gray vest. The portrait is backed with it's original wood boards. that has a paper able that reads. A. Viner, Carver, Gilder, Looking glass and picture frame maker, North Street. Taunton. Old Frames re-gilt and Modernized. Glasses Re-silvered, Paintings Cleaned & Varnished. This label was for the original frame. The frame on the painting now is a replaced frame. Condition age cracks and crazing some paint loss. Painting is 15" by 19". The frame is 2" wide.
