Description: 9ct gold-mounted cameo with Diana the Huntress and a stag carved into the shell. It has a fixed suspension loop at the top, so can be worn as a pendant, and also a pin at the rear for wearing as a brooch. At the lower edge is a fixed ring to anchor a safety chain if needed. Brooch measures 3.7 cm high and 2.2 cm wide (almost 1.1/2 inches by 7/8 inch). Probably Victorian or Edwardian (say circa 1880-1905). Very good condition - Diana’s face is a bit worn smooth, and I think the pin may have been replaced at some stage.
