Description: This is a large wood weaving shuttle with pointed brass tips. The shuttle is mahogany and measures 16 inches long by 1.25 inches high by 2 inches wide. There are metal mechanisms in the inside of each end and a groove down one surface. The marks are a sign like a dollar sign, SF 54, C18 and hand scratched on 800 and 70. I don't know where it was made but was told it was from a weaving business from the 1940-1950s. A neat item that would make an interesting decor accent as well as being of interest to gadget and textile art enthusiasts.
