Description:
The Seth Thomas "ECLIPSE" mantle clock has always been one of our favorite models. We usually have at least two and sometimes three of these interesting and eye-appealing solid Walnut cased clocks in our inventory. The eight-day Lyre-shaped movement is running and striking properly on a melodious "Cathedral" gong. The door glass has some rubs and may have been replaced a long time ago. The paper dial is also showing a bit of age. Otherwise, this is an A-1 example of the Eclipse or "ball top" mantle clock which provided the Seth Thomas Clock Company with a sales bonanza almost a hundred years ago. We've priced this attractive clock lower than the previous Eclipse on our web site due to the rubs on the door glass. My wife says she doesn't think that this really affects the look of the clock as it sits on the mantle or shelf, but we try to adjust our prices to reflect the overall condition of the clocks.
