Description: This is a 19th c. 1/6 Plate TINTYPE - perhaps a family grouping, not unusual. But what is unusual is they are all laughing - not typically seen in most very dour looking figures. They are all totally amused, perhaps because of the "tsk, tsk" nude prop/statue in the background. It does kind of make you smile when you see this - they must have had a delightful sense of humor.
