Description:
For sale are three primitive antique kitchen collectibles. c: late 19th, early 20th C. First is an antique Maple wood primitive wooden lemon squeezer w/turned handle. c:late 19th C. (see L. Franklin's book, pg. 42). Good antique condition; is 11 long x 2.5 wide. This might be considered 'treen' by some collectors. (see pg. 41 book on treen by Anne Forty). Next is an antique primitive press. It is either a cookie or sausage press, (likely cookie); it has a turned wood dowel center and a heavy-duty metal casing. The metal end piece comes off when you turn it; there are little slots where the hooks fit to release it for cleaning. Bottom has a cutout design on it. It is 10.75 long x 1.75 wide. I think it is a cookie press, but L. Franklin's book show some similar items indicating a sausage press. Last is a vintage wood butter print. (I first thought this was some type of springerle mold, but it is shown on pg. 21 of the book on Treen by A. Forty and is called a 'butter print'). This unique item has an incised leaf pattern on the roller; good condition, and is 9.5 long x 2.5 wide. Great items for the serious kitchen collector!
