Description:
This an unusual ashtray of a man smoking a cigarette (the cigarette is still intact). The ashtray is made of plaster and is painted with a handwritten advertisement on the front. It is difficult to read but I think it says "con este bole ro su calzado como nuevo", which to the best of my ability translates to "with this ______ its footwear like new". I have not been able to translate "bole ro". There are no markings on the bottom of the ashtray.
The ashtray/statue measures approx. 12" tall and the base is approx. 5" x 4". I have no idea about this item's age.
The ashtray is in good condition. It is a little dirty in places, but I will leave it to the person who purchases this item to clean it. There is some minor chipping on the base, but some has been painted over so I think some of the chipping may be original to the piece.
