Description:
This is a Victorian Photo Album with a celluloid pictorial scene on the front cover and a velvet back and sides. The front is very cracked from age but mostly intact except for one small area which is chipped off. The picture is a beautiful winter snow scene of a lady herding her sheep back to the barn and her dog looking on. The velvet is burgundy with a beige floral design, faded from age, but intact. The beautiful decorative clasp is still intact and is very ornate, probably brass. The edges of the pages are gold. Inside are 12 cardboard frame pages with 20 old photos included. The stand is of a different design, but is the perfect size and age to hold this album. It is made of metal and has a drawer in the bottom covered with a rose design celluloid in good condition with a brass flower drawer pull. A key is also included, although there is no lock. A priceless treasure for your Victorian home! The measurements are for the photo album without the stand.
