This is a spectacular, American Victorian Pier Mirror.
The Mirror is huge, which might be difficult to understand from viewing the photos.
It is made of Quarter Sawn Oak. The grain of the Quarter Sawn Oak is breathtaking.
This is definitely a very fine, Victorian Era Pier Mirror.
It will look spectacular in a large foyer.
It is in very good condition.
This Mirror was created during an era of opulence, in a romantic period of time full of ballrooms and gowns which needed a mirror this large in order to be fully viewed.
The Mirror has a complex, ornate, Coved Pediment at the top.
The Cornice has a Pronounced Moulding flowing across the top. Just below is a deep, Plain Frieze.
The Mirror is flawless. It is deeply beveled and in excellent condition.
The Mirror is flanked by incredible, tall Corinthian Columns. The Acanthus Leaf Capitols at the top of the Columns are finely carved.
The Columns are connected to a Wavy Shelf which flows below the Mirror.
There is a Scrolling Bracket below the Shelf.
There are massive, Block Supports under each end of the Shelf.
