This beautiful Victorian era photo album has a red velvet cover with an ornate celluloid decoration. There are a couple of cracks in the celluloid word album and a few pieces are missing on the ends of some of the flowers, otherwise the celluloid is in great shape. The velvet that covered the binding on the side and held the front and back cover on is completely deteriorated and gone, the rest of the album is still held together but needs to be rebinded. The red velvet has all over wear and is worn through on the corners. Only half of the metal clasp is still there. There are 16 hard cardboard pages that hold 64 pictures inside. The pages are in fairly good condition, some tape residue, few minor tears, but overall condition of the pages is very good. A large album it measures 16" long by 7" wide. This fabulous antique photo album would definitely be worthy of refurbishing. Circa 1860-1880
